    That sounds good, but it's always the mudguards, eh! You'd think someone
    would come up with some decent pattern ones, most of the ones I've seen
    don't seem to fit anything well.

    Another couple of years and I'll be hunting for something for the GT,
    probably. There's just the first signs of blisters appearing on the front
    guard between the forks.

  2. The problem with mudguards is rolling the edges, for which you need some
    fairly expensive tooling.

    I've been told that a lot of these cheapo Chinese and Korean bikes had
    problems getting registered in this country because their mudguards were
    horrible sharp-edged things, and the DVLA just said: "No way". So they
    changed the guards.

    Dunno if that's true, mind, but I suppose a Boadicea-type bike, no
    matter how atractive the concept, is something the authorities don't
    want.
