I can't remember the last time I went on a long(ish)[1] just for the
    heck of it.

New boots and battery on the Daytona.

I set off sort of in the direction of Krusty's, but then I realised I
couldn't quite remember where he lived, nor knew if he'd be in or not.

Anyways, just sort of followed my nose and did
    Wantage-Faringdon-Lechlade-Fairford-Bibury-Burford-Witney-Abingon-Wantage.

    What a blast.

Favourite bit was Bibury to Burford. I think I may have recorded a
slightly higher top speed, I'll look later. Not Champ-esqe speeds for
sure, but I did start to think a little about what would happen if any
woodland alliance types were on a mission.

I had a bit of a race with a scooby down the A40 (without realising it),
when I turned off for Abingdon he was behind me, revving up and waving
and smiling. I thought about continuing to make progress but then began
to think he could be an unmarked car trying to goad me on. Luckily not.

On the Wantage-home section I even pulled an (what felt like) enormous
high speed power wheelie coming over a rise. It was probably only about
6" but felt a lot more. Coo, I didn't know I could do that. That bike
still out performs me at least 2x.

Supermaxx tyres are brilliant, never felt them move at all.

    [1] for me [2]
    [2] 83 miles

I thought you might. I hardly know it all, but I wasn't hanging about.
