A little while ago someone posted about the John Britten book that was
going to be available at the TT..details are available here:

Jackie, if you happen to come across the van, can you pick a book up
    for me?

    Ta.

On second thoughts, after going online to a NZ bookshop I've purchased
one, including delivery, for less than the (alleged) 'cheaper' price
quoted for sale on the Island.

Indeed. The exchange rate means that the book actually costs ?15.00
whereas this guy reckons it would normally cost us ?34.95, he's selling
    it for a mere ?30.00.

What he's doing is having a fornight at the TT selling the books he
(might have) got at cost price or near as damn it, recouping the
expense for the cost of purchase and covering the cost of coming over.

    Perhaps.

    Can't blame him though ;o)

I did a search on Amazon a couple of weeks ago and couldn't find it.

    <goes back>

Ah yes, it's there now. Subject to an additional handling charge of
    1.99 because 'it's a hard-to-find item' and takes 4-6 weeks for
delivery. So they are taking the slow-boat delivery (delivery costs
are cheaper) from the supplier and making a bit of a profit on it.

I've still got it cheaper ordering it from NZ, arriving in a week )
