    Restriction kits for a newbie?
Lass I know has passed her test a year ago, and is looking to buy a "big"
bike, but will need it strangled for a while.
I know FI do the kits, but who fits/certifies them and how are they.
My google karma battery is flat ;o)

    TIA.

F1 and the "certificates" are all a big con. They have no legal standing. Do
you honestly think the EU granted some god given licence to these jokers?

Depending on the bike the manufacturer may make restricted carb slides
(suzuki do for some). All you need is the receipt for those stapled to a
workshop invoice for fitting them and Plod will be happy if they ever ask.

    I bought some for Blondie's GS500. I think they were £50. I stapled the
reciept to a fitting invoice from one of my vat registered companies for the
    fitting.

I have to say my standard of work was so bad DK would employ me, because I
still have the restricted slides in their boxes.

Thanks Hog, I'll bear this in mind.
I must admit, I have never heard of any approval scheme for the fitting of
said beasts. Makes sense what you are saying.
I'll pass the info on to "her" and see how she want's to handle it.

    Cheers.
