    I've just got a £100 Penalty notice for a "Vauxhall/Blue" being parked
at 12:44pm in Noel Road, N1 on 8th December displaying my motorcycle
    registration plate.

    Bastards.

Could be a particularly subtle new dating service introduced by Gaydar,
    of course.

Oh yes, I see what you mean. I could never date anyone with a blue
Vauxhall. I would at least have to see their model first.

If it was a Vectra then maybe, if it was a Corsa then no.

    You got a picture?

Only ISTR the weekly liar doing a piece recntly where people with bikes were
getting notices from that London for parking/congestion charge infringements
and, when they asked for the photos, the vehicles were not only cars, but
had plates different to that claimed in the NIP....

    Worth checking out.

I'd wait 'til the penultimate day for responses then send my written request
    for the photo.

When they send it you get the same 28-odd day period to respond again, then
wait til the penultimate day and send them a polite letter with a copy of
your V5 pointing out the error of their ways....

You really want to start thinking about starting 2006 again, Nick.
Actually maybe you are getting a whole years worth of troubles out of
the way in Jan and it can only get better from Feb.

I designed and posted a perfectly good example of a sig only a few
weeks ago for you to use, everything was on it and there was even
space for a quite but you didn't use it.

Well if you believe the weekly liar, yes.

IIRC they were using 'evidence' from CCTV cameras - spot offender, take
still picture, misread numberplate, send out notice to registered keeper of
    totally different vehicle.

I'm writing a shitty letter right now.

It turns out that the photo of the car they have actually has the
registration EU02, whereas my bike has EO02. So some fuckwit has
billed EO02 for it, which is me.

  20. In uk.rec.motorcycles, BGN amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
I got a parking ticket on my lorry today. The road name was correct but
the make of vehicle, colour and even the reg number were wrong!

    Go figure...

My guess is some comedian found it elsewhere and put it there for a
    laugh.
