Who Knows Something About BKREPOS.COM Dealership in Temple?

I've got some spare cash and I'm looking for a nice Harley. These
seem to have the best selection and prices on Dallas, Austin, and
Houston Craigslist (just do a search on bkrepos.com), but several
    things raise my suspicions:

    1. Some of their '08 motorcycle pictures are dated January 2007,
before these bikes were even built. Actually, many of their pictures
have this same date. Also, the pictures do not seem to have been taken
at the same location, unless their "warehouse in Temple" has quite a
    number of alternate decors.

    2. The bkrepos.com domain has only been registered since last month,
to a "Milton Poole" in California.

    3. Google streetview seems to show an RV dealer at that address (4501
    S. General Bruce) in Temple.

Please, if anyone has dealt with them (or if you're in Temple you may
know them), drop me an email. I don't want to drive 200 miles just to
find a bunch of salvage-titled Katrina rustbuckets. Or maybe even get
mugged for the cash payment they seem to want.

I'm really hoping these guys are legit!

    thanks,

    Martin

OK, thanks to everyone that responded. I answered all emails
    privately.

Out of about 10 replies, no one had actually consummated a deal with
these guys, but at least it is verified that they do exist at that
address. It's a "warehouse" in a defunct shopping center.

Several folks had unsatisfactory phone conversations with them,
including evasive replies to title questions. One guy went down there
and said they tried a bait-and-switch by claiming the internet ad was
a price mistake by $2K. On the other hand, one respondent said he had
known them for a long time (as car dealers) and they were honest. And
there were a few hard-to-interpret general comments.

I'll post back if I decide to take the drive.

  6. If the bike looks like a good deal and it is what you are looking for, what
would be the problem of going to get it or look at it no matter where it is
or who has it. If you would end up saving money even with the drive costs.

Buying a used bike is a risk. If risk taking is not for you, there are
plenty of new bike dealers around.

We know you're not afraid to take risks, Isidrool, but some of we here are.
Big Ed is listed in the Yellow pages for a reason. Pender has a 1/2 page ad.

Your bravery being dependent on the direction you're facing is confusing.
You Harris Countians give new meaning to the term ''Loverboy".

that was bkrepos, not blkrepos....calm down

  8. Sounds like good advice. In a situation such as "BKRepos", you have
no idea if a bike has major mechanical problems, or what. And if they
won't discuss title (red flag), I'd look someplace else. I suppose it
wouldn't hurt to go "look" but I'd not go alone. ;) They can't make
you "buy". 200 miles isn't too far for a good deal.
Have you checked on BK Repos with the Better Business Bureau? Just a
    thought.

Maybe there is a reputable dealership that has trade-ins. Also, I'd
be very surprised if you couldn't find a decent Harley being sold by
the owner. You just have to look til you find the right one, at the
right price. If you aren't so inclined, take a friend who is
knowledgeable about bike mechanics and have them look the bike over
for you. Listen to the engine, see if you can test ride it. Whatever
    it takes.

    Good luck.

I know a number of people who have been to bkrepos and they are
legit. I know they are selling a bunch of bikes so be patient with
    their website.

The guy that owns bkrepos is a dealer so he is bonded and licensed
    with the state of texas.

I asked about the pictures also. The date on the camera was set
wrong. On the bottom of the pages it had a note saying that the dates
    were not correct.

You are also correct about an RV dealership being at that location, it
was Anceria Motor Homes but they have closed.

What I recommend is for you to call Milton, think his number is on the
website (254) and talk to him, thats what a friend of mine did.

Oh, one more thing, they aren't a dealership. Its just a warehouse,
were they have the bikes. From what I hear its clean and they are
friendly, but their bikes sell fast. All the bikes have clean titles,
    no salvage units.

    Happy Hunting.

Legit = the number of people or bkrepos

I know they are selling a bunch of bikes so be patient with
    Oh well then, shit man.
uh oh, those little details. I don't see how one could know about
motorcycles without having date setting ability.

    location, location, location

Oh, one of those popular dealers without a dealership.
    Now you're talking!

My name is Mark - and I feel it very important to post here about how Milton communicated with me today. I had called him last week asking about a particular bike he had listed on both CL and his website...and spent a good 10 minutes on the phone with him where he was rude and unpleasant. He told me his place was broken in to and truck was stolen, went on a rant about how the police are just a bunch of revenue chasers, and proceeded to ask me 'what do you want'. If it wasn't for the gorgeous bike I was calling about,I would have told him where to go and ended the conversation right there. Anyway, jumping forward after several days of follow-up texting and plans to come see the bike (I did not set a date, only indicated I wanted to comesee it but was 2 1/2 hours away so needed to figure out the best day to come), I ended up settling on a bike I found much closer. The next part is the best part - I sent him a COURTESY text to let him know I decided to go another direction, where he replied back with a barrage of hateful texts, even telling me he's sorry for my wife (that she has to deal with someone like me). He's lucky I took the high road and thanked him and ignored the rants...for many others would have sought him out and confronted him face-to-face for the things he had the courage to say via text. This man is a weaseland he's lucky I don't hunt him down...my wife and I are glad and thankfulwe chose not to take the drive up to Temple...his true colors came out andI didn't even have to give him that courtesy notification! To hell with that man.
