My old job was pretty cool insofar as I could pretty much do what I wanted
when I wanted. Unfortunately the company turned to utter shite so I bailed
    out.

My new job involves a 60 mile each way commute to Brentford, to work
    alongside Aussies, Kiwis and Bokkers.

    Go figure.

  4. I've just built a SUN vegetable rack at work. We have parsnip and turnip
at the top followed by spud, carrot, peas, carrot, beetroot and leek.

    How geeky is that?

Let me know if you think you'll be available and I'll get you a drink.
If you're able to look at my clutch then that's a bonus. I think I'll
have a look in the Haynes Manual today anyway, to see if it's simple
enough for me to do :)

  7. Wtf you talking about? There's nothing wrong with any of it, save the
tart-onnabike shots being a bit cliched and cheesey but that's what the
    punters want.

I like his commercial stuff - clean, uncluttered.

  8. Impartial independent opinions sought here: who has the better job out
of Lozzo and me? Same industry, same product types, different ends of
the supply chain. He gets Chingford, I get China. He gets Sydenham, I
get Sydney. He gets Dagengham, I get dysentry.

I don't claim to be a professional photographer.

Having said that, maybe I should consider a career change, given the
kind of shite you seem to be able to sell.

So? I asked to see what your photography skills are like.
Besides, it's obvious that Fotoman doesn make money for his pics,
therefore he is a Pro Photographer - no 'claim' about it.
I take it that's a "royal" you as opposed to being directed at me? but i
repeat myself, let's have a look at the shit you think you could sell.

    You're missing the point entirely.

I take snapshots with a sub-£100 digicam most of the time - without any
    thought for composition etc.

I'm not actually claiming I could do better, just that, IMHO, his
material is, on the whole, utter shite.

If you can do better, prove it.
Then STFU - you don't get people telling you they could run your
    cornershop any better do you?

Fucking hell, a bit of an over-reaction, isn't it?

He's openly advertising his work on the group, so I feel there's nothing
wrong with anyone being critical of it.

It's complete shite. Must be a market for it, or he wouldn't be making
money out of it, but that doesn't stop it being shite.

  18. Have you considered the simple fact that perhaps it's your opinion
that's in the minority? You're right, there must be a market for it, so
clearly there are plenty of people who don't think it's shit.

FWIW, the photoshopped bike pics really don't do anything for me, but I
can tell that the actual photography involved is far better than
anything I could produce. A look around the rest of the site shows that
some of the work is actually pretty good.
