Who gets the Gatso Speed Camera Money

This is how it all happened.

It may not be a conspiracy, but the local councillors couldn't
wait to get their hands on the first Gatsos.

Picture the scene in the local council chambers a few years ago when
the 1st Gatso salesman came to sell his wares.

"Ladies and gentlemen, while it is true they cost £12,000 each,
they will generate £70,000 a week.

The fat bloke, who is really an independent but sits with the Torys
says increduously, "Have you proof???"…………….. salesman says
" Yes, in Holland, here are the figures. Shows a translation of Dutch
    Documents to worthy councillors.

At this moment our beloved council leader awakes from his semi
comatose slumber and wipes the spittle from one of his chins.
"70 Grand a week !!! he gasps. Are you kidding me?? This could be
the answer to our budget deficit", he says, shaking the sleep from
his eyes, and zipping his flies up.

That's £70,000 a week EACH ONE said the salesman.

Gasps!!! all round. Somebody broke wind. All looked accusingly
    at their fellow councillors.

"Where should I sign ?" He says to the Gatso salesman

"Shouldn't we vote on this???" A Conservative pig interupts, hoping
that highlighting this slight lapse in the democratic process will
    work to his advantage

Our worthy council leader says in his best Richard Burton
    Shakespearian voice:

"Speed kills, those who want to save lives say "aye"
those who don't want to save lives say "no". "

    "A show of hands please."

The Conservative leader deflates visibly to a pathetic figure,
    having been so masterfully outmanoevered.

The Liberal Democrat bloke just looked at the floor and made plans
to ask his landlords if they could replace the tap washer on his
dripping tap in his bedsitting room.

Then they all went home and Clarice (Swansea's answer to
Monica Lewinski, but 40 years older and with no teeth) came
    out from under the table.

This happened in 1999. Let this be a warning to you about what
happens if you don't attend concil meetings.

    There is more to tell

  3. Clarice Says we must fight back.

"It's not the size of the dog in this fight,
it's the size of the fight in the dog."
    - Mark Twain (1835-1910)

"Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly,
while bad people will find a way around the laws."

Now Jeff, that was very silly. If there's one person on this group who
doesn't like top-posting, it's Bear[1][2], and who did you just follow up
    to? Ooops...

    Expect flaming.

[1] Trust me, I still have the burns
[2] He's even specifically noted for it in the ffaq

  5. That's funny, I don't remember lending anyone my voice.
Jeff, either you are a reporter for the Daily Mail, or a writer for your
school magazine. Judging from the quality of the prose, that is. On
balance I suspect the former as the latter have slightly higher standards.
