Drum brakes will be an H1A or a MachIII. The disk brake was introduced
    on the B.

According to another in this thread the colours for the MachIII were
white or grey so in this case it sounds like an H1A.
A lot of the rattle was from the fins on the head apparently.

  2. They did a blue one - hence the early tag "Blue Meanie" and I'm pretty
sure they made a red version in some markets.

We all know youre a clueless prick...................but why on earth
do you have to keep shwing your ignorance?.........................Best
to stick to old shite like XS650 and CB400, than attempt to profess any
    knowledge about proper bikes!

  8. re-arrange these words into a wellknown phrase:

    smartarse nobody a loves

'ere, did you see these, from the same seller:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4598312184

second one looks rather nice. as for the first one, the only thing that
    springs to mind is "why?"

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4598389062
is more like it though. I could fancy that.

    or how about this?

Looking through the bollocks you commonly post, referring to you as
    "Google Gary" seems pretty accurate!

  10. Horrible. Nasty. Etc.
Horrible little disc-valve things, and unfeasibly small. Good for
dwarves. They changed it into the KC100, which was Kawasaki's equivalent
    of the Suzuki B120.

They also did a sort of off-roader version called the KM100, which is a
    bit more fun.
Oooh, I might even bid on that. I've always had a yen for another RS.
    Paging sweller.....

I worked at a Kawasaki dealer in the early 80s who sold shitloads of
KC100s. Brilliant little bikes they were for the money, which was 399ukp
    OTR IIRC.

The trail bike version was the KE100, a full size trailie. I owned one
for years as a second bike and it was excellent value for money. The
mid-sized version was the KM100, a kind of shrunken version of the KE
that my then 11 yr old brother could easily have ridden.

The KC was a proper full sized machine, just a really budget commuter
version of the KH100, the KM was significantly smaller than everything
else and was almost kid-bike sized. We sold a few KMs to parents of
small kids and people of restricted growth who couldn't reach the floor
on something like a KC. The KE100, which I owned, shared the same engine
as the KC, KH and KM, the KE125 was a completely different
    engine/frame/everything.

  13. OK, my bad. I knew someone who owned a KM90, and thought the KE had a
    different lump.

Like muchly, but pot guards now only manufactured in unobtanium (would
    consider them essential).

If I'm wrong, and someone does know a reasonable source, I want a pair
to replace the rusty ones on the R80 (mono).

    Regards,

  17. you talking about crash bars? might have a set. I had 2 lots, one chrome
and one black. Dunno what they're like. The black ones are on the bike,
    though.

He really should know better sometimes. He always gets me on stuff like
Kawasaki triples though. I never had any interest in those.

Ooh, if it's the asymmetric D-shaped type, then <covet>, etc.

My problems started when I tried out my non-existent MIG skills on my
existing set. They appeared to have been brazed originally, and the
angled brace underneath the RHS one had broken away. I went for ages
trying to work out what the strange revs-related noise was!

I did weld it reasonably successfully, but haven't been able to keep the
rust at bay since (thought lacquer might do it but that was a complete
    non-starter).
If you do have a set, give me a shout off-NG, as I am seriously
    interested.

    Ta muchly,

  20. I'll have a look in the shed. I THINK there are 2 sets. Might be some
    fixings missing.
