My objection is the same I have with Tesco - they won't be happy until
    they've taken over the world.
Another reason to avoid them, then - just like I do Asda.
I don't think they're worse than anyone else in this respect.

Really? Never had a problem with Amazon ever. Even returning a badly
    made DVD was easy.

Play, on the other hand, wanted to fucking full technical essay on the
problem affecting a DVD I bought from them before they'd replace it.

ah yes - I'm in the middle of a free trial of Amazon Prime, so it's
all free next-day delivery for me at the moment.

Not in my experience. I've had no problems with Amazon including
    returning stuff, and getting replacements.

Play recently decided to jerk me around, so I won't be going back there
    again.

I cancelled mine when I found out they used City Link. I've wasted
enough time chasing over to Gloucester after getting "while you were
out" cards and then being told "oh it's still on the van".

ah. I avoid all that sort of messing around by having my stuff
    delivered to work.

it must've been comical watching you travel on the train with a fucking
huge LCD panel or a case of wine...

I've never bought anything large or unwieldy from /Amazon/.

I had to carry a box about 4'x18"x6" home on the tube just before
christmas. To say it was cumbersome would be something of an
    understatement.
