    Excellent:

"A new bike awaited me at the Honda agency in Veracruz. I was
confronted by the first official when registering the bike. Proof of
residence was obligatory. A utilities bill was sufficient. The
registrar produced his own electricity bill and called me grandfather"

Puts "Long way round/down" into shame.

    No support vehicles nor crew.
No backup apart from friendly calls back to a policeman.

Perhaps I will tour India on a CG125........Thay are popular there

    Most people shrink with age.

The only newspaper I take is the Guardian on Saturday, so I wouldn't
    have missed seeing this review.

Given his name, I wonder if he will make a hobbit of long distance
    rides?

Inspiring. One-clicked, along with "From A to X: A Story in Letters" by
John Berger. So that's two hoary old bikers' literary offerings to be
read. This Berger title probably won't feature bikes TBF, but I greatly
enjoyed "To the Wedding" (as did SWMBO, though she found it bleak) so I
want to read more of his work.

    Wonderful.

"I bought a thick jumper and a pair of strong Church's walking shoes in
a Hereford charity shop, packed thermals and a six-month supply of heart
    medication."

    Just... wonderful.

I've never had a problem with Amazon. They are quite philanthropic too,
having recently opened a distribution centre which employs 1500 people
    in the Swansea area.

They do seem to have a Canesian attitude towards employees but I doubt they
are much different to other cuntish employers like Asda et al.
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...-last-minute-online-Christmas-sales-boom.html

It seems play, com are no different to the others in attitudes towards
    consumers:

I don't suppose employees in Jersey get a chance to complain, in public at
least, before getting a taste of the connétable's silver tipped baton...
