I've seen guys boasting about trashed tyres at track days. "I've been
riding off the edge of the tyres". Bollocks mate, yer suspension's fucked.

Only because I can't speak Italian.

Incidentally, Mike Edwards took my bike out and told me the suspension
was partially seized. Got it fixed and thereafter tyres lasted *loads*
longer. Smooth wear all over.

Not quite, crashed while testing braking limits of tyres while leant over
because Mr Myopic in car pulls onto roundabout in front of me leaving me
nowhere to go except tarmac surfing. Had spent most of the afternoon doing
the hooning thing around Manchester's roundabouts with Flook, Spete and
Christofire.

 

I can vouch for this, having followed Andy in the *very* wet when he was
on Rennsports (or was it SuperCorsas - same difference). I wouldn't have
tried it mind.

Having said that, my bike would spin up with tractor tyres on.
