Hornet over the VTR for two up ? Is that for the rider or the
    passenger's benefit ?

The VTR is easier to ride with the extra load (well in all fairness I'm
comparing a VTR to a CBR600 F2 but it's the same motor), more torque,
less revs required (ie don't bother changing gear), not that the Hornet
should be terribly bothered but the VTR didnt seem to care or notice. In
terms of passengers comfort, well, I avoid being a pillion like the
plague but the VTR *LOOKS* comfier, and it'd have to be roomier.

<shrug> GPX250's do fine 2 up as well, as long as neither of you are too
    big.

  2. Errr both.
    F3 motor actually. FII, Black.

As both are outside, I'd opt for the Hornet myself, as a pillion and with a
    pillion.
They do? That¹s nice. VTR250s do well also, but the discussion is about a
bigger, more powerful bike for two up travelling.

Then again, who cares, its not my choice.

I have suspected certain ..... tendencies in that direction, but ...
    hopefully not.

You'd look bloody stupid on a VTR if your Hawaiian shirt didn't match your
    sandshoes.....

Well yeah, but it was a flippant aside meaning, "you can two up on
pretty near anything you can both fit your bums on as long as you
recognise the shortcomings of some options"

fer instance 2 up on a postie would get uncomfortable fast that luggage
rack isn't real padded, and you wouldn't get anywhere fast either

Ahhh kewl. I never did see how that pic turned out (until now). Shame about the blurring. Bloody
digital cameras that take a while to think about taking the shot after the button has been pushed.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!! :)

Heh heh; you're off the hook Dale.
You caught it fair-square dead-centre in the view-finder. It's hardly your
fault that Phillip Island has ****-all light at 5pm at GP time.........
(and my cheapo digcam wasn't really up to the task either....)

I'd say the "on loan vtr" bit in her sig gives the game away on that
adequately - $10 she's already taken it for a run (and hey Cat unlimited
baby sitting - no restrictions on going for a ride ! :)

Can she touch the ground on the VTR??

I know when maggs sat on mine she could barely reach the ground - and
    only on one side....
