You, sir, are a dead man walking.

Apologies, Nick; I forgot that you're a Project Manager now.

  4. Well, thereare always exceptions and reliable ones, but the number of
"faulty alarm" posts we've had suggests that they don't all work as
    advertised.

    wessie says...
I doubt I'd get this treatment, I'm very friendly with the Datatool rep
who works the same area as me. I made sure of this when I realised what
    alarm I had fitted.

Indeed. I've got my GSXR insured without an alarm and it only put
about 50 quid onto the premium. So that's about 10 years before the
cost of an alarm would be covered.

On the other hand I couldn't get it insured without it being garaged
at night, or Datatagged which says a lot about insurance companies
    opinions of alarms.

For all three bikes I've had, they wanted to see a certificate of
    installation.

If you want to fake something, get a fake one of those.

    Meta 357 V2, fitted, for £300.

The System 3 Datatool I had was a similar price - what are you fitting that
    costs £600?

    Nothing on Peak's page (http://www.bikesecure.co.uk/pages/ride_framed.html)
costs above £350 fitted as far as I can tell.
