Sounds like the 9R does exactly what the R6 used to do to my wrists.

I've already got the DB and it is very cossety in that respect. I suspect
that I've just got a bit too much room on the 9R tbh (being of slightly
waiflike proportions ;-) ). Likewise I never found the ZZR600 I had as
comfy as I find the R6.

    I think I'm just a bit odd - plus I fancy having the throb of a V-twin. :)

Bee's 9R has the best D/bubble screen I've ever ridden behind.
My Gixer is as well with the Gilles ones fitted. Everyone else who gets
on it seems to be crippled after 2 minutes of sitting still, but I love
    them.

You can buy adjustable clipon handlebars Bee which can be moved in 3D. I
usually have to do this also. Gilles for one although I think there are
    cheaper out there.

There's no really clear answer to your question because it depends on
how hard you're pushing both bikes. Ridden flat out on a bumpy road
both will kill you the first time you lose the plot even slightly.

Well it's ok, Champ answered for you!

I was really asking about the gulf in straight line performance I
    suppose.
