Well even with your limited skills you manage well enough here.

Well I knew he didn't like you, but he's going a bit far (IMO) making
you look as much of a **** as he does.

There's more than one way of looking at that statement.

You really are a deeply unpleasant person.

    It's newspeak for programmer harrassment.

It's hard to believe he actually said that. Stupidity of that level is
    almost worth unkillfiling him for.

[1] Do bear in mind that that bit of advice comes from someone who is
    opposed to killfiles.

Apparently he's really nice in real life. It must be true 'cos he said
    so.

Maybe you should ask Tallbloke what he thinks 'cos he seems to like him.

Heh. I know that most people's Usenet persona bears little relationship
to their real-life one. In Des's case I've concluded that he really,
genuinely is not a nice person. No one can act that well.

It's newspeak for "worker harrasment"; I'm not a programmer but I get
harrassed by Project and Programme Managers. Mind you, I've done a bit
of Project Management and it's not a bad job; being paid for being a bit
    of a ****.

Well, I've done project-type management and I hated it. I'd much
rather be a simple programmer and be done with it.

Well, I like being accountable for stuff, my decisions making a
difference and the "leverage" that management (or in this case project
management) gives you; getting a team of people pulling together in the
direction you want them to and delivering in the way that you want it
    delivered (approximately) is satisfying.
