I drop him the odd email to stay in touch, but to update him on froup
happenings would indeed be pretty sad, IMHO. If he wants to know what's
going on (and my guess would be that he's really not fussed), he knows

exactly. The *best* they could know is whether someone was subscribed.
And anyway, it wouldn't tell if someone was lurking via Google groups.

him. That's how I know he's not lurking 'cos he hasn't challenged me.
