On a day like today, it is hard to imagine that anyone would not be winding
out these old motorcycles.. This time of year, our weather is so iffy, I
can't believe the perfect weather that we are having..

The old Geen Vulcan looks so completely forlorn sitting out there on the
patio all covered up, I just couldn't resist pulling that cover off, just to
let it breathe a little fresh air..

I'll give you odds that this newsgroup will be flooded with posts that
describe all manners of good ride reports, come Monday..

  2. I took a quick ride up to the Winstar Casino off 35 exit one in Oklahoma
this afternoon on the Harley. Was a bit gusty but oh so warm. It's probably
about a forty minute hope for me here in Corinth to get there from here. I
had invited at least four other riders to come along but to know avail. I
think the cooler temperatures from earlier in the week had them all afraid.
Oh well. It was well worth the trip I won almost two hundred dollars (take
home) on nickel slots. NOT TO BAD. Came back, stopped at American Eagle
Harley Davidson. Sure allot of fellow riders out today! The bike ran great.
I'm sure there won't be to many more days like this for awhile though. Next
month I'll shoot for another weekend ride. Anyone interested in going let me
    know! Bill? You game?

I rode about the same circuit as usual....

From home, about 1.5 miles to Keller's. Sit around there
looking at other bikes/cars while drinking a coke.

Leave there, head out toward Garland on NW Hiway.
Double back via Garland road, down by the spillway,
and back up Gaston to Abrams, then back home.

    About 15 miles total.

Damn, I sure am boring... But, I sure did enjoy the nice
    weather today.

    Saw some kool cars at Keller's though - a 23 T-bucket
type rod with a small block Ford engine. A 55 cherry
red Chevrolet with a big block Chevrolet engine, belt
driven blower, topped with two large carburetors. A
'51 Chevrolet sedan, spinner hubcaps, looked like some-
thing out of American Graffiti. A new Mustang with a
decal on the lower body panel reading 360R? Don't
really know what that was, but it had two large scoops
below the front air dam. Looked like those scoops
could be easily sheared off driving around on Dallas
    streets.

That was about all for today, Saturday night is really the
best time to see some great cars at Keller's.

<sigh> Nothing I'd like better.. Just can't make too many long range plans
right now, though.. If you'd keep me informed, I might take a shot..

Reads kinda like you did youself a real good solo run, though.. It always
helps when you can come back with more money than when you left.. That's the
type of rides I enjoy.. LOL.. Regards, Randy

Nothing "boring" about a guy doing a relaxing Saturday day out, Gary..
Everybody needs one of those, once in a while.. From the read, I'd suspect
that you were visiting Keller's on Northwest Highway.. That's a good one
alright and on weekends, you can see just about anything you want, as far as
    cars and motorcycles.. Regards

Keller's, huh? Geez.. It's been probably 15 years since I've been there..
Over on NW Hwy, right? Seems there was one over on I-30 too...

After getting the kids done with the parade this morning in Richardson,
spent some time away from my latest project bike (750 Seca) and got some
wind in my hair.. seems like it was only long enough to warm up the engine,
    though... never long enough.

You are right.. One on I-30 and another one on Harry Hines.. Each one used
to be a hot spot on different days of the week.. Ma Brands was a beer joint
on Samuell Blvd. and right up the street from Keller's on I-30.. You just
Good that you got out on such a beautiful day.. Congrats and Regards
