I have a 5000km service coming up and looking for somewhere in the
inner SE if possible for my Honda CB900. Also does anyone know what
the rules are RE servicing a bike yourself in the warranty period,
    does it void the warranty?

    Cheers,

  2. Do not service your motorcycle yourself when it is under warranty if you are
    not a qulaified mechanic.

  3. Do not service your motorcycle when it is under warranty yourself if you are
    not a qualified mechanic.

You may however use any qualified mechanic you choose to service your bike,
manufacturers do not have the right to tell you where it should be serviced!
They can stipulate the way that servicing should be done and things like
    lubricant requirements.

If you need anymore information, contact the ACCC,

as long its done by a competent person to factory specs, then you
shouldn't have a problem,as said else where, document what has been
    done.

if you are after a good mech, I have heard good things about Geoff
    Taylor Motorcycles in Dandenong

    also

    Performance Watercraft
    2/ 43 Cochranes Rd MOORABBIN VIC 3189
    (03) 9555 5088

but double check this one, I heard that he bought out Brighton
Kawasaki and moved the workshop there. I have never heard anything but
great things when he was in Moorabbin

Ha! Not far off they are actually Virago 250cc. The funny thing is in
my younger more naive days I actually wanted one of those. Guess I
will have the chance for a day now :) BTW I learned the slow way that
not all bikes have doubling pegs :-( Going back Monday morning to drop
    off the bike.

    Thanks all!
