I just got sorted on rec.motorcycles.racing again in the last year
after quite a few years away. Where did everyone go? Has racing
gone that much downhill in the last few years? I mean well the AMA is
a National club race. Good for Ben to move on when he did or he would
have been dead career wise like all those who stuck it out.

That being said I am sure that there is still some good racing
happening somewhere we can talk about. Rossi has finally made the
Ducati dream team move that has been speculated for like forever.
Either it will bear fruit or he will be the victim of his own games
(Sete eat your heart out) as first Casey and now Jorge have shown
    Valentino to be mortal.

Casey back with Honda. Hmm. Seems to be a match made in heaven if it
works or the hell it always is if you aren't rider #1. Casey has been
there. He played the game. Who is the #1 Honda rider? Time will
    tell.

Nicky. Well he is finally making the Duc work for him. Will Rossi
screw the development for him or will he fix the stellar one day turd
the next Ducati that has threatened to ruin careers or make heros of
    its riders.

Hope this sparks some discussion or else we will all have to go back
to using the internet for it's true use surfing porn.

Best race of the day yesterday, Moto2. By some long way.

In fact that was one of the best races involving axe murderers I've seen
since the bad old days of WSS around 2000.

    Watch it.

Can't believe nobody has mentioned Loreno's save while
trying to punt, I mean pass, Simoncelli.

    Champ notes:
Teevee dudes here seemed to think Lorenzo was shaking
his head at Simo after. I'm betting he was shaking his
head at himself, "sheesh I can't believe I pulled that
bonehead move and got away with it".

    Champ does too:
I still do, all the time, trying to get some corner on the back
yard flat track right and screwing it up. Or at the local MX where
it's even easier to screw up (damn kids and their jumps). Stakes
way lower, just trying to have fun.

Even more often it's just general day-to-day stuff I no longer
    seem competent to perform.

    Beats the alternative, I hear.

    And Michael Sierchio proclaims:
