    12V 12Ah with filler caps & breather.

The local bike shop has cheap brands that aren't worth anything at all but
they're a bit greedy on the brands that are any good.

    Thanks.

Does it have to be somewhere local?

I found wemoto to be realiable and quite keenly priced.

Never bought a battery off them, but their delivery is amazingly fast.
    Yes, recommended.

    Your local Halfords.
Yuasa, Bosch, Varta etc. at reasonable prices.

That development had passed me by. I see you can also get rechargeable
    versions.

Preferably within pikey fuel range and not too far in this weather.

Already checked out dave Silver, they can only send it dry so I'd still have
to pay someone local to fill it with acid and the carriage charge would wipe
    out the saving anyway.

I think I'll wait until they figure out how to make 1.5V rechargeable Li in
    the standard sizes.

I was using rechargeable AA and AAA's. These are so cheap and last so long
I switched. Lazeee cnut I know.

Same here. I'm still on the original Lithium AAs supplied with my Pentax
K-x. Three months and 600+ pictures later and the battery indicator is still
on full! Add to that a shelf life of a decade or more and there seems little
point in fucking around with rechargeables.

Good to know. I use a lot of AAs, particularly in my home cinema remote
    control, and the Wii controllers/board.

Wow, something useful from Hog. Who'd've thought?

I have bought several bateries from here, they are very cheap and have
never had any problems with anything I have bought.

    It's in Shefford.
