Assuming the ABS works, £1800 seems a decent price.

Seller states it's ready to tour. Where's the luggage? Brother might want
to mention this whilst reminding the seller of Ebay's T&Cs.

Although, it's a horrible colour so an opportunity to walk away might be
    convenient.

**** 'im. He's trying it on. Did it sell quite quickly, giving the
    seller (belated) alarm bells

He's sold it, he should honour the sale price, it's clear as day what
reserve and BIN are when you list an item.

1800 seems to be a little strong if it's got no luggage. Has your
brother actually ridden it/sat on it? I don't find them very comfortable
so they're not exactly my first choice for a cheap BMW oilhead.

  6. £1800 would be bang on if it had luggage, and given the low mileage, I'd
have said. They aren't very nice bikes.

With no luggage, I'd have said £1500-1600, as it'll cost at least £300
    to get some used stuff.

Turns out even £1500 would be wildly optimistic due to permanent ABS
warning light, gubbed front tyre, damaged paint and torn seat.

Not a very clever one, though. It turned out that bruv knew the seller
and he paid significantly more for it not too long ago.
