What? To buy a bike privately?

I suppose it depends on payment method. Especially if someone wants a quick
ride before handing over totoal cash ?

Probably to make sure the next owners details are correct on the forms
that go back to the DVLA, and thgat he isn't swindled with forged
    cash.

Maybe I'm overly trusting but it all sounds like paranoid bollocks to me.

Ah, I didn't actually look at the URL. I suppose it could be the case
if someone turns up with a cheque.

For everything else, it's the case though. The last time I wanted to fart,
I had to produce a bill less than three months old.

    No test rides regardless.

Seems like he's a bit of a knob.

Given it has no tax or MOT, that's not entirely surprising

No tax, no MOT, no test rides and he wants more proof of ID than most
    banks do.

For a £5k bike, on eBay.

I suspect he'll be waiting a long time for a seller to come along - all
for the sake of a £25 MOT and whatever tax is these days.
