What's it worth, mister?

Just had a chat with my neighbour and he's asked if I'd be interested in
selling the SV, which might just give me the motivation to finally
change it. The only problem being that I'd need to replace it before the
French Run, to fit in with the impending life change[1].

    Anyway, what's the valuers' opinions on a 2000 SV650SY, yellow, 19,000
miles, reasonable nick but nowhere near concourse, MOT is good until Feb
2009. It has no service history but he's seen that I do the fluid and
filter changes at the appropriate times. It's (over)due a look at the
valve clearances and could do with chain and sprockets fairly soon.

    [1]No surgery involved.

Between £1500 and £1800 if it's clean and not suffering too much
    corrosion on fork legs etc

They're actually pretty good. Probably due to them being replaced under
    warranty for that very reason.

    Did you shift that VFR?

Not yet but it then again I haven't really tried too hard, It's still
at my friend's family home, but I'm getting it here as soon as the
gorgeous NC30 that's in the garage has gone to its new owner.

As soon as the VFR750 lands here I'll give it a deep Loz-clean, take
some photos then stick 'em on some webspace somewhere. You interested?

Well, as I said up/down there, if he takes the SV, I would need to find
something fairly sharpish for the French run. I would then either
dispose of it again afterwards or leave it in Belgium for when we move.
