    Absence of smilies threw me.
    I can only aspire to your level of sarcasm. :O
    Where _specifically_ is the pedantry in my post? ;)

    "Steve Parry" said to Donegal Paul who fumbled, fiddled and fingered:
    Exactly, so, once more:
    "where no _man_ has gone before" surely ?

    [vba code]

    dim myint1, myint2

    myint1 = val(textbox.value * 100)
    myint2 = int(val(textbox.value * 100))

    result = myint1 - myint2

    When you run this and stick 36.75[1] in it, it gives you a result of ~1.
    If you change int to cint then you get 9.0E-13. That was pretty
    bizarre, as on the face of it, it made three computers look like they
    can't add up.

    [1] I think it's this number.

    There's a DVD of Pammy & Tommy Lee doing the rounds in the office.
    Nobody wants it, and it refuses to disappear. We've been posting it off
    anonymously to faraway outposts in the internal mail, but it keeps
    coming back. Anybody want it?
