So I visited my local Shell the other day to find no Optimax.....only
    V-Power.

    What happened?

I guess Shell tweaked the fomulation (friction modifiers), gave it a lick of
paint (new dye and new artwork) and wheeled out the new name.

Optimax has had a controversial life...bad press, misinformation, bad
    diagnosis, buckpassing...etc

I note from the Shell website that V-Power now being used for
    Ducati's."Shell V-Power for Bikes..."

For those that miss the ubiquitous "optimax stuffed my bike" type threads in
    ausmoto...here tis..

    Around 500 references.

Optimax was costing them a fortune on splitting the cases.... this
gear just fucks the top end!

i thought v power would be for electric cars :)

maybe they were thinking ahead and making recharge stations :)

although it would take about 8 hours to fill your car up!
