What you want to do with OT posters?

Over the years I've come to believe that unmoderated newsgroups are
among the most democratic "places" in the world.

I've also come to believe that a whole bunch of proud, blustery talk
to the contrary, a lot of folks just do not like democratic processes.

I've also noticed that in unmoderated newsgroups there are often folks
who display a tendency towards the ghetto mindset. The ghetto is what
you get when authoritarians get their way and all the folks who are of
a particular race, religion, sexual preference, economic status,
political opinion, etc. are made to stay where they belong -- some
place else.

For folks loudly extolling the virtues of democracy this tendency
indicates either a lack of thought or flagrant hypocrisy.

If you think THIS post is off topic, please consider the following:
There are lots of "democracy-loving" citizens among us who are flying
false colors. They actually have a much greater fondness for
authoritarian systems. This, I believe, is largely because they don't
think they're going to be on the oppressed side of those authoritarian
lines.

If you ride a motorcycle in Texas you are already in the cross hairs.
If you dismiss this fact as absurd or irrelevant or acceptable, I
suspect : 1) you already choose to wear a helmet and would regardless
of any legislation and are content with your insurance payments; 2)
you don't mind giving up "minor" liberties for a greater sense of
security; 3) as long as YOU feel secure in YOUR "important" rights you
are comfortably proud of your democracy; 4) you probably think very
little of trashing the rights of others; and 5) you may well be in for
a really, really rude awakening.

post, but what are you talking about in this last paragraph and how
did it relate to the beginning of the post?

Good post Oma.. I suspect, there will not be much response .. Your post
requires a great deal of thought beyond what you are actually saying..
Provoking thought processes and ideas is challenging and you have done that

You have to remember that Charles is being investigated by the "committee"
which I assigned to check into his various activities in a certain
"hamburger joint".. (and I might add, that his companion is also being
investigated).. And my decision as The Supreme, Wizardly and most Grand
Moderator, was most painful to me, since Soto and the lady in question are
amongst the "good guys" in this group.. Having said all that, justice will
prevail..

WAAAAAA... The neighborhood is ruined.. I am surrounded by dissenters,
motorcyclists and unspeakably horrible specimens of degradation.. The
environment has become intolerable.. I'm goin' to another danged ol' meetin'

Moderator, that The character known as Charles Soto has also been observed
in the company of a female co-conspirator, known as "Beth".. It is believed
that she might be the shadowy nemesis that is responsible for the corruption
of these two individuals..Charles Soto and Oma.. Both men have been known to
be of impeccable character, before becoming involved with this female
suspect..Since that alleged association has been observed, the three have
reportedly been seen in KFC establishments as well as some of the other
unsavory haunts of known terrorists of our noble cause.. Any activities
involving these three unrepentants should be reported to the committee's at

threatened by these activities.. The final report from the committee is
still forthcoming, however all preliminary findings are being developed by
IceMan and IceLady.. These preliminary findings should be reported in the
weeks to come.. Your own activities are presently being scrutinized and
extended absences from participation will not permitted .. You sir, are the
subject of the investigation for subversive and rebellious absense.. Excuses

No wonder someone T-Boned you.. And in my neighborhood.. You.. of all people
should be aware that driving a vehicle such as that, immediately targets you
as a Republican and deviate.. The investigation is hereby broadened and
intensified.. Your actions can only be determined as covert and suspicious..
Charles Soto and Beth are not the only subversives who must be under
surveillance and scrutiny of the appropriate committees.. Next question is,
why I have not been apprised of this grave circumstance priorly..

You need to stand corrected.I have no idea where you get your
information,but it is by no means correct.False information is not a way of
spreading harmony,but deception in our lives.We that "Spread", like butter
on a piece of stail bread,need to examine the damage that we create by such
actions.Maybe a swift slap on the hand by "The Mother" would push you to
re-examine your self the next time to feel "Froggy".

I guess my actions are not as private as I once thought.I do understand
that in other areas I am not allowed to venture to unless I have prior
written consent.In those areas,I expect to be scrutinized.
It has since come to my attention that,the area has gotten bigger.I have
recieved an letter in the last 48 hours that requires me to get prior
consent before I venture into the Austin area.
I guess it an't that bad.When I had the ankle braclet on,Hell,I couldn't
even leave the yard.Kindda like havin' a electric fence around my house.
