    What's the big deal?

He's just got airborne and the front wheel has touched down first.

What happened next would appear to be :

"Bruce Anstey put the Suzuki GSX-R1000 firmly back at the top of it's class
with a record-breaking victory in Tuesday's Isle of Man Production 1000 TT -
taking the lap record with an amazing 125.10 mph on his second circuit
whilst slowing down to pit for fuel.
After three very fast laps, TAS Suzuki rider Anstey took the chequered flag
from John McGuinness by 18 seconds with a race average of 123.72 mph."

Eh? I assumed y'all were kidding around - why do you think it's so
extraordinary that he should still be braking hard enough to do a
rolling stoppie while cranked over that far? It's easily enough done
even on my gixxer [1], let alone the tricked-up one shown in the
    piccy.

[1] Well, not that far over, but I've certainly had the back wheel
airborne as I tip into a corner on several occasions. Bloody unnerving
for me, it was, and not something I'd encourage anyone to try.

Cool. So what mods are they allowed in the proddy class? Is it
actually a bog-standard, just like mine, machine, or are they allowed
    to change shocks, brakes etc.?

I don't feel obligated, nor ashamed that I can't, I'm merely learning to
Quite a bit I suspect. SWK will be along shortly to explain

What makes you think he's braking?

I was thinking the same lines as Sorby - he's just ramped off the crest and
    landed the front first....

I've been watching the TT on M&M this year. You certainly get a feel for
the frightening speed they do when they have the on-board cameras going.
    Whoa.

It was my first and only thought for how he could be in that
    position...
.... but looking at it again I realise you're probably right.

I'm fairly sure mods are limited to:
    - race can (just so they sound like race bikes for the fans, really)
    - rear shock (eveyone fits an Ohlins. the Island is just *so* bumpy)
    - revalve forks.

"Since that day ol' Ace was never quite the same. Oh, he'd still bring the
old warhorse out for a trot around the paddock but something died inside him
that day. As for Dan his career plumb took off and we didn't see him round
these parts no more. 'Legedly he came back when Ace was long since gone and
ee-rected a statue that simply read "11th June, the day Dan kicked Ace's
    arse on Usenet"
