what to take

    Off to Donington on Sunday
    300 miles plus from Hayling (via Grantham where I join 4 other mates n bikes
    [1])
    cant decide which bike to use
    Do I take the Blackbird and enjoy the luggage carrying all manor of drinks
    and nosh
    or the R1 with rucksack ?

    [1] at 6 in the morning

    Blackbird if it were me. R1 is just asking for trouble in loads of different
    ways IMO.

    Think about what you'd prefer to be riding on the way home after a long
    day, sitting in sunshine, probably sunburnt, possibly a bit tired.

    It'd be the Blackbird for me given the choice of your two bikes.

    Cue Champ and Ballistic saying take the R1 :)
