    OK, I'm fairly pissed up.
After driving to my parents and back (Burnham on Crouch)
I REALLY miss riding on the road.
Dilemma; do I give up enduro altogether and sell the KTM and buy a roadbike?
I love racing but don't want a shit road bike. I'd like to spend about £3k
but can only do that if I sell the KTM.
Help UKRM. I'm thinking of jacking it all in to buy another blade or ZX7R.

Linger scribbled on the back of a napkin:
Why not get something like a Bindit for a lot less than 3k?

I would go for the R1 or 9R. Of the two the 9R might suit you better.

Bear grabbed the crayons and scrawled
Give the guy some credit, if he's still riding after two strokes, will
    you?

haven't you got anything else you could sell?

You could rent your wife to Cane, for example.

Is it accurate to assume that the KTM isn't road legal?

It is road legal but it's a pig on the road.

If that were true then we'd see a lot more Fat Boy sales.

Just cancelled my previous post, as I then saw another post mentioning
that you've got a 300 stroker. Not one that I've ridden but I have played
on the 520 4-stroke which is absolutely barking and fucking hilarious on
the road. In fact it was too much off road for me (yes I'm a wuss). In
what way is yours a pig?

Well for various definitions of 'shit road bike' I could sell you my
old Thundercat for 950 gbp until tomorrow morning.

story so far (google for 'salvage' and 'leo' if you want the full
    story)

low speed slide last January means there's more plastic bent than is
worth repariing, so they've written it off as category D uneconomical
    to repair.

    It's X plate (dec 2000) 23k miles, based in Enfield, N. London.
gotta working scottoiler and a disconnected spyball alarm, on original
shock (which will need replacing) but the rest is fine IMO.

The insurance company have paid me for it, so legally it's theirs, and
at present they are due to pick it up tomorrow, but if you jump at the
chance I may be able to stall them and then buy it back from them.

After various haggling they put the salvage price down to 950 from the
original offer of 1100, so I can't accept less than that, but I can't
be arsed to spend the money and get it fixed as a SOB.

Ifyou (or anyone else on UKRM for that matter) wants it I'd rather it
went to a good (er?) home than a breaker's any day.

The whole peninsula rocks for roads. Nice and quiet, mainly, too.

Having spent some time with him watching him ride and noting his style and
size. I think the 9R would be more stable for him and the prices are quite
    good.
