What now for the BHaLC?

I'm sad to say I'm a little perplexed, and seek some guidance from our
revered leader. What is the official stance of the BHaLC towards the
announcement by the Prime Minister that the "liberal concensus" has been
the source of all ills in modern society?

Should we be abandoning our dearly held principles, or should we instead
declare the Labour party to be anathema?

Or even - overdue an enema, which is how I read it.

Funny how your brain works in the wee hours.

Given that I've a grudging admiration for the PM and am a dyed in the
wool Tory-wet I think the latter. Or at least accept that the current
iteration of the Labour party is not the same as the Labour party of the
    past.

Exactly my perspective, and a source of some sorrow for me.

Sorrow for me as well really.

I do wonder what will happen when/if Brown takes charge. Will we return
to the Labour of old? Somehow I doubt it.

The thing that bothers me about the current party is their sheer
arrogance and their authoritarian stance. I suppose this isn't a
criticism of labour as such since I'm sure the Tories would do exactly
    the same given the opportunity.

I suspect I'm talking myself into voting LD. Which is odd 'cos I don't
    wear sandals.

I think we should tell him to **** off - in a gentle, caring way of
    course.

Is that remark of his in print anywhere?

    Thank you.

    Having read it, I disagree with V's conclusions - I don't think that's
what Tony Blair is saying at all.

Mind, I think we have the worst Home Secretary and the worst Health
Secretary we've seen in a long time - it's just that I can't stand the
    other bunch.

Didn't they get the Home Secretary from the other bunch? Is he some sort
of a covert-opps plan working for the Tories?

I wish someone would encourage his dog to drag that **** under a bus.

    That really is fucking scary.

I think he's also a black opps. plant by the tories.

Whilst Blunket's dog's pulling Blunket under the bus maybe he could sort
of loop his lead around Tony's legs and pull him under as well? It's not
much to ask for is it?

I think that's a common view - but then democracy is not quite so good
at responding to that level of detail.

That's a bit harsh: he only posted a link, ffs.

    It's not what people feel."

    Priceless.

    "Those are ..", surely? :)

I really feel I should object to that outrageous statement.

Got to remember that Blunkett didn't get his job by accident: dear little
    Tony put him there.
