Iirc, much of what we refer to as 'Indian' dishes are far removed from
what you'd actually get in India, they being developed in GB for the
British palate. Another factor is that much Indian grub in the UK
originated in Pakistani-owned restaurants and take-aways, where the
taboo on eating bits of cow doesn't exist.
