What causes this odd wear pattern on a front tyre?

    No, we will be analysing identical wear traits of the Azaro - as noted
    on three different bikes in the Pixie driveway last Summer. It's the
    effects of braking, that's all - it happens, live with it.

    I certainly wouldn't be raising the tyre pressures above the
    recommendations - that way lies hedgeboundness, for the sake of trying
    to get another few miles out of a tyre.

    I wasn't insinuating anything other than Azaro's are not particulally good
    tyres i.e. Two riders I know that have tried Azaros both said they were
    shite in the extreme... "Fucking lethal in the wet" were the exact words
    used.
    I know this, I get very pronounced lipping on the rear of the gixer and to a
    lesser extent on the front.

    Tyres do this sort of thing when they're bored, and you don't get much more
    boring than a Deauville.
