What bikes have you owned?

Well yes. I only ever check the pressures when I get the tyres changed,
and of course that's done by someone else :)

I'd normally get through a set of tyres every two to three months on
average but the ol' CBR's been sitting for a while and I was tempted to
hot trot it down to the local garage and top up if necessary.

The rear's as square as a shreddie and although the front looks brand
new, I don't like the look of it. It just looks "too new" IYKWIM. I
mean, it looks like it'll never get tacky enough to actually be any good
so all this is probably immaterial anyway.

I'm pretty sure if they predate the SORN requirement then it's not a
problem but if it comes to the attention of the DVLA, through ownership
change or address or whatever, then you have to be pretty snappy about
    taxing or SORNing.

I was fined for a bike I put in my name without taxing/SORNing but have
heard nothing about the others in the lockup of joy, which are mostly in
    my name.

The CBR big old bus that it is does get a bit sensitive when the tyres are
worn. I use BT020's on mine at the mo but I might try those Avon things
that Ginge and Lozzo keep going on about next time.

I only rode it for two weeks before I lost the use of it but it felt
like it didn't want to lean and (it was only a feeling) if I *did* lean
it then the thing would slide away, losing the front.
    Aye, Azaro 3 STs.

Had two sets on my last Bandit, lasted bloody ages and in the dry you
could lean so far you'd literally run out of tyre :)

I'm going to stick some of those boots on the bus as soon as I'm able
and give them a whirl; unless of course, you put them on first and say
    they're crap.

Really? They've not asked me to re-sorn stuff (to the best of my
    knowledge...)

  7. Do the DVLA acknowledge the SORN notification in some way? I SORNed the
Z200 shortly after I got it (ie early December), but I haven't heard a dicky
    bird in reply.

  14. Any age, if it's registered.

My SORN acknowledgement has just arrived, btw, backdated to 17/11/03.

I've no idea if either of my road bikes is taxed or SORNed. Can one
    ring DVLA and ask?
