Oddly enough, a couple of ukrm-ers have expressed an interest in
buying my R65LS when I get the clutch fixed.

On way of putting it. Things have got till the end of the month to
sort themselves out or it's got to go.
I declined it in the end. Wasn't happy going to work for a company of
only 4 people. I've got a couple more interviews lined up and things
are looking positive here as well so hopefully I'll be keeping it.

If it goes, I'll spend half the money on a 98 SRAD GSX-R750 and keep
the rest to live off for another few months.

SL125 - crashed loads of time, including a couple on road.
XT500 ----- " ------ . Last prang knackered both forks, so the front
end was swapped for a kwack hybrid (z900 forks, kh250 wheel and
brakes) one and it was run like that for a while before the engine
seized due to having been left half-dismantled too long and the little
end seizing solid. Eventually sold for fifty quid when I moved house,
as I couldn't afford to get it re-built.
CB900 - my brother's really, but I used it for a year or so while the
XT was being rebuilt. Nice bike at the time. Sounded better once the
cans had rotted through and been hacksawed off.
GPz550 - some years later - used for a MK-Swindon commute until its
age and mileage started to show, so chopped in for a...
GPX600 - first 'modern' sports bike I'd owned - very quick, it was,
and it did ths 140 miles/day for a few months until I got a better
    contract.
Sprint ST - Bought after a long ban expired - ran into the ground for
three years then sold to Timo, where his curse applied. Mine dew, I
think he made a profit on it...
CB400F2 (1976 model) - bought for t'other half before we moved over
here, but she's never really got on with it. Nice, it is, and great
    fun to ride.
GSXR1000K3 - words cannot describe it. Pushed over by a Parisian twat
when sitting in a car park last year - a few scratches still not
repaired until his insurance gets their arse in gear.

What I can't work out is how a couple of drops rendered every fucking
bearing other then the headset utterly useless.)

    heh.

The drops only account for the light cosmetic damage. The rest, you
can put down to a combination of user fuckwittedness and abuse of a
    big single.
