What are the rules for buying incorrectly priced goods online?

I have just seen a pair of something being sold online that is
underpriced by about 200 quid. If I were to order these two items as a
pair, could the company demand the extra, or will I get them at the same
price I added them to my shopping basket for?

Is their acceptance of my order and subsequent debiting of my credit
card a contract of sale, or can they pull out of the deal before
    delivery of the goods?

Most online ordering systems will have a get-out clause in them to take
    into account pricing errors.

As a backup measure, if something is obviously a pricing error, then
they don't have to honour any order.

However, 200 quid off may not obviously be an error, depending on what
    the item is.

As your favourite person says, most price lists have an E&OE clause which
gives the retailer a get out. Check the T&Cs you usually ignore when
    placing an order.

When I worked as a typesetter I used to ensure a client made such a
statement on any work I did just in case I made a cock up and it was missed
    in the proof reading :)

In the past, many big name companies have honoured such cock-ups. Remember
the Kodak camera one that was widely publicised on here?

It's a pair of high quality fully floating race spec brake discs.
They've fucked up on the seller's website and put the same part number
for race spec front discs in where road spec rear discs should be but
left the road spec rear price in. The race spec ones are 170 quid each,
rear discs only 70 quid. When I add them to my shopping basket it just
appears as a part number and a price, no description saying whether
front or rear. I'd stand to save 200 quid off 340 quids worth of discs,
which in anybody's view is a fucking bargain.

I'm tempted, very tempted to find out what happens.

It could be argued that, as you know it's an error, they don't have to
honour it. This would be covered under an obvious error (like Homebase
showing 350 quids worth of telly on their website over the weekend for
    49p).

However, what do you have to lose? - so long as your plastic can stand
the full charge, temporarily, then take a punt on 'em, as you can always
return them under the distance selling regulations if they have charged
    you the full price.

    It depends

The company that sold me a GPS for $900 below what they think they
intended to still insists on charging my card every now and again but my
credit card company insists on slapping their wrists every now and again
    so I'm still (relatively) happy

But... if you've been charged the correct amount for the right boot but
the wrong amount for the left boot, don't expect to be left with any
    more than the right boot

All I can see on the website is this

"The company has a policy of continuous development. We reserve the
right to change specifications without notice."

    Bugger all about E&OE.

There's usually a tick box during the order process with a link to a pop-up
that gives the T&Cs. Most people tick the box and move on.

The worst they can do is refuse to sell at the lower price.
They can't just add £200 and charge you the full amount

The minute they debit your card is an acceptance of your order at that
    price.

I'm keeping the AP Racing calipers, but replacing the fucked discs with
a pair made by another manufacturer of race spec ones. AP were just too
fucking expensive. At retail prices they worked out at just over 280
quid each side, I managed to get a trade price of 435 for the pair, but
even that is too much compared to these at 140.

AP are good, but they aren't 560 quids worth of good. There are other
manufacturers making comparable products for far less money.

    ****!!
Please check the disc diameter. The AP's are different to the OEM and
the callipers didn't match at all.
