    Hi All,

So, the CB "Two Fifty" booked in for MOT at 12 today.

Bike was in my mates workshop 200 yards down the road.

Get's gear on and jumps on Daughters 125 scooter and she get's on the
back to be able to ride with me to the MOT and it back etc.

100 yards into the 200 yd journey I pull over in a wide bit of the
road to let a .... traffic car through the narrow bit (as is the
    custom there).

He clocks the L plates, the pair of us, puts the blues on and gestures
    for me to stop.

As he gets level with me I say, "Daughters bike, <gestures head
towards pillion> going to get mine at the top of the road, taking it
for MOT .. " .. he smiles, winds his window back up and drives off ..
    ;-)

The funny thing was we were discussing covering up the L plates but
for 200 yards .. what were the chances ...!

Now, if I was 14, on a stolen crosser, not wearing a helmet, without
licence, uninsured, no MOT or silencer and riding like a nutter, I bet
there wouldn't have been a sign of them!

Anyway, it passed, and the examiner even commented on how sweet the
motor was, especially with 61k on the clock.

What was also a bit weird was the insurance. Fully comp, me and the
Mrs, crap postcode, parked on the front, no alarm, Datatag or
'approved security devices' (it will actually be padlocked with a
f'off chain both ends and tied to a ground anchor) but without the 9
years ncb I had three years ago, £136. Try it with the NCB back on as
    an experiment .. £129?

    All the best ..
