What a lot of inaccurate drivel written by a fool.

"motorbikes emit 11.3 times more methane than cars "

The bikes or the riders? On that basis they should also ban cows from the
    bus lanes.

Furthermore, I would have thought that the most dangerous thing a cyclist
would encounter in a bus lane would be a......er.....bus.

    Can't help but agree...

"Furthermore, a recent study showed that when motorbikes are allowed
to travel in bus lanes, their average speed increases": No fucking
shit Sherlock: that's surely the whole point!

Well done, Wilson. I wondered which one of you was going to spot that.

Absolutely. It's a view I've seen expressed in URC more than once.
Some there seem to feel that removal of the source of fear, rather
    than education, is the answer.

TBF, around here, at least, there is some justification for that fear.
Taking a cycle ride down the Corvedale road on a summers day can feel
a bit like taking your life in your hands. Powerangers routinely
scream down the straight, missing you by inches, before throwing
out all the anchors and wobbling round the next bend. It can get
a bit worrying at times. There are a lot of complete knobbers out
    there on motorbikes, unfortunately.

Whenever I encounter a cyclist I always calm it down and at the very
least ensure I give them a very wide berth.
