What a difference...

    ....brakes that work make.

    I didn't have the time for a full strip of the Bandit's front brakes (as per
    previous posts the travel was notchy and was moving in chunks of travel -
    which was very odd, and tricky at low speed to control well).

    I've taken the callipers off and got some spray brake cleaner, pushed the
    pistons out a little and cleaned them the best I could. I was going to use
    petrol, but the manual says under no circumstances to use petrol, but, I've
    used petrol loads of times before (quite a few years ago now), so what's
    changed?

    And what a difference, you don't realise how bad [1] they were until they
    are better. They still aren't perfect yet, but they can now wait until I get
    some time.

    So sticky pistons it was then.

    [1] still pretty good really, but nothing in comparison to them now.

  3. Petrol might cause the rubber seals to rot or swell. You're lucky you
    got away with it.
