    It was freezing out today.

Didn't see then sun break through the gloom till gone five o'clock.

    Still, I got 6 landmarks, and the CB13's had a good old-fashioned
    Italian tune-up.

Intersting little chain-ferry journey over the Yare outside Reedham.

£2 for a journey of, at most, 50 yards.

That's a 50 yd journey that saves you doing about 30 miles. I like
Reedham ferry, I used to use it quite a bit when I lived in Lingwood.

I have yet to commence my heroic attempt this year, owing to my
inconsiderate daughter being selected for the national football team and
having to run her all over the bloody country and switzerland as well.

    However, I shall begin soon.

AS excuses go, that's quite a good one.
    Jolly good show.

I've almost beaten last year's attempt already.

Oh, it was worth it, if only for the novelty value.

I was quite chuffed today: 356 miles in 9 hours, including 14 stops,
and a ten minute search around Swavesey cemetery.
