    I'm just taking a really wild shot, that any DHSS on the Channel Islands
    is the same fundermental organisation that we have here.

    If I am wrong, then so be it.

    You'd be wrong. It's not part of Britain, see?
    Makes a change, eh?

    Well close. Jersey Health and Social Service contributors are paying.
    Just as (for example) Barclays account- and share-holders would be
    paying if SWMBO was being head-hunted to work for them. It's quite
    normal for an employer to offer relocation expenses when recruiting from
    'abroad' - even in the UK. They had to have four three lots of
    interviews for her job before they found the right candidate so I guess
    they'd still be looking if they'd said 'Oh, BTW you up sticks and move
    here entirely at your own expense'.

    That could catch on, no longer are they "scroungers", "doleites",
    "scousers" :).

    But they are now "share holders" ..... I trhink you should suggest that to
    the Labour spin doctors.
