I just received an email from the guy I delivered Timo's car to.

    "Hello!

I hope you have a nice flight home!

now i have a spezial question for you :) would you like to bring me
again a car from england to austria for money if i buy one, or was
that only a unique (singular) mission (action) for you?

if you dont like, i will collect it self, so please tell me how it
works with the ferry, and where the harbor of the ferry is.
and with which licence plate number can i drive home, do you know?

    Thanks!
    Christian"

Looks like I may well be going again then.

  3. Do it - as long as you're covered in the event of breakdown etc.

Who will be your co-pilot this time?

  4. Using the patented Mavis Beacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Lozzo
Never return to the same target on successive missions. The defences
    have been alerted.

I recommend a diversionary raid on the Ruhr.

  5. Gimme notice on this one and you'll have a support vehicle/tail gunner.

Surely the buyer will be taking most of the risk?

If the chap spends £59 on a breakdown policy in Lozzo's name then the
vehicle would be delivered to Austria on a flatbed. This policy can be
reassigned to any vehicle by simply logging onto their website:
    http://www.quotelinedirect.co.uk/breakdown/
I've used it in the past to get Euro breakdown cover for my bike and car in
    the same year.

There's a rather nice young lady by the name of Rachel who wanted to
come on the Evo trip, and another one who expressed a desire to do
something like that last night. Unfortunately, my expert co-pilot Az
may well be back at school for the next one.

I know the £ is weak against the Euro, but I don't think an Austrian is
going to risk transporting stuff via Dover-Calais and N Europe, when he has
the Balkans and ex-USSR countries on the doorstep.

  11. This might be a regular earner for you, with the weakness of the Pound
against the Euro leading to many Continental types buying UK cars.

I went to the bank today with the intention of depositing ?270 in notes
into my current account, but decided to hold on to the Euros for the
time being until the rate improves. I've had a word with matey and he
reckons he'll need another car delivering by the end of January. Whilst
I was at it I said I'd consider delivering for any friends he might
have too. May as well make hay while the sun shines, and it's a very
straightforward trip. While the rate is this favourable I'll take the
expenses and any payment in cash in Euros and hang on to it until a
    better rate is available too.

Things are recovering so if you wait, your Euros will be worth less.

I've just checked it out online, you're right and I'll be banking them
asap. So much for listening to the girl behind the counter at the bank.

OTOH others more in tune with this malarkey than I am seem to be of the
opinion that things may well get worse. God knows what that'll do to the
exchange rate though, so wibble flip doo.

If I hadn't bought the ticket already, you could have brought my wife's
    car back from Nige's place.

I'll stick a post on the office bulletin board, see if there's any interest.
