Took bloody long enough to find a buyer, but I suppose that's winter not
being the best bike selling time and me sticking it out for a sensible
asking price. Nice old chap came and left a deposit today and is coming back
with the required amount next week, so the new solo Guzzi project takes on a
    new head of steam.
I've already got a spare 1000 Spada lump to replace the tuned Spada/Lemans
hybrid currently in the trike (that lump will be nice to get back in a solo
after 7 years too); Got a slightly bent Lemans frame to get strightened but
all of the rest of the rolling chassis can be knocked up from the spares in
    the shed.
Now I have just got to find a starter motor and a set of 36-40mm Dellortos
for it, make a pair of ally 'silencers' and we're all set.
    A *good* day.

As you know these are horrendously expensive - apparently the Bosch made
units are a standard Fiat fitment except the Guzzi ones spin in reverse,
hence the price - if you can get a non working one they can be cheaply
    overhauled by an auto-electrician.

I know someone who has a few spare starters. I am getting 2 off him for £60
the pair. I also won a brand new UJ for £47 recently so I'm well happy with
    that too.
