Well, that's one resolution I think I'll be sticking to...

In the new year, I will be mostly buying some new riding gear that actually
fits, and doesn't resemble a yachts sail when one is pushing on.

Just after I bought the CBR, I bought myself a, very good for the money, but
ultimately way too baggy in the shoulders jacket, to wear when out on the
bike - one of the joys of buying clothing off eBay, I suppose.

Today, I, no pun intended, threw caution to the wind, and wore one of my
better fitting ski jackets when I went out on the bike, and what a
difference it made when 'stretching its legs'.

I'd recently been wondering if the bike needed setting up on a dyno, as it
seemed a bit flat in top gear if you were exploring its limits, but today
    proved otherwise.

Next point of order, are my front brakes - now and again, you hear them
scraping just after you've braked hard - someone has suggested that it may
have 'sintered' pads, and these would do this.

Is this correct, or is it more that I ought to consider stripping down the
calipers and clean the pistons etc.?

    I will... today.

I'm not doing the usual 'This year, I will be mostly living off rabbit food,
and going to the gym three times daily' resolution bollocks, but I'd ideally
like to drop a couple of bra sizes.

Weighed myself last week, and discovered I've ballooned up to 18 stone...
which is ok, cos it's all 'relaxed muscle', as my dad used to put it. ;0)

  4. I'd check and clean 'em, but if they're not seized (you ought to be able
to push the pistons back with your thumbs) then I wouldn't bother.

New steel hoses might be a wise investment, mind.

    Ok.

I'm due to drop the front end out soon, as the drop that happened just after
I bought appears to have put a slight twist in the yokes - £40 to get
straightened, apparently, so I'll give them some TLC then.
It has those already... not quite as shiny as when I bought it, but then
I've been doing a 'Sorby' of late; riding and leaving it outside, in all
weathers, and not cleaning it very often.

That's "way too baggy in the shoulders", as in "fits very closely around the
abdomen". Fat fucker's had way too many chips embedded in his flesh.

It's not, actually... but I'll take the bait anyway...

I have a very long reach and a long body - Triumph XL sized stuff which I
had last, wasn't nearly long enough in respect of the arms, hence why I went
for XXL in Sidi, only to find its long enough in the arms, and too baggy
    everywhere else.
Pies, actually... that, and assorted bacon butties, alcoholic beverages etc.

I'm hovering just under 18 stone at the mo... whilst I'm small fry compared
to the likes of Big Tony, I'm 6'3 and built with it, so hardly massively
    overweight.
