Well, that wasn't too bad

Well, a drop or three is squeezing out between the hose and the bottom
spout. Since I tightened the jubilee clip considerably I have to
squeeze to hose very hard to even get a drop out, but 100% watertight
    it isn't.

Both the side tank if the radiator and the spout show a fair amount of
corrosion, which I think is partially responsible for this. However
given the way I tightened the hose I'm a bit worried that it's going
soft. I think I'll be speaking to my mostly trusted mechanic this
morning to see if they can pick up the bike and sort it before
    Wednesday.

Looks like a proper all ali job, and it only appears to be leaking at
the bottom hose connector, between hose and rad. As mentioned it
probably wants a new hose as the old one is feeling a bit soft but the
main issue appears to be corrosion on the outlet stub.
If I'm going to do it myself then I'll probably pop it out and get
them to check it over once I've cleaned it up.

Yes, it could be the metal has corroded away, quite often there's a
build up of oxidation that lifts the hose. Cleaning it off can cause
    another leak.

Well, we'll see. The folks who have to redo the brake jobbie are
supposed to sort it out as well...
