Well I won't be doing that again.

I am back from my (presumably unnoticed) sabbatical on the Fiat Coupe
    owner's forum.

What a crock of fucking shit.

If you innocently slip a "****", "****" or even a "shit" into your post it's
    automatically replaced with "[censored]"!

Or you get into a thread and then, suddenly some small-dicked anorak on a
power-trip because they're a moderator jumps in and says, "This thread is
off-topic so I'm blocking further posts to it" or "I'm stopping this thread
now before anybody insults anybody else".

There may be a lot of downsides of unmoderated Usenet groups; spam, trolls,
Cane, etc., but we should never forget how lucky we are not to have fucking
    moderators.

BTW did I miss anything while I was away? I couldn't be bothered to read
the 3.5k posts of shite that I downloaded.

I presume you exceeded the allowed bandwidth with "censored"
    Indeed. Pity about Cane though.
Actually no, it's the same old drabble.

Hey, the car has done a couple of thousand miles with me and has been very
    good.

Today I finally got sick of the owner's forum, told the moderators to shove
it up their arses and then went to take Lisa to the bank.

We got 5 miles from home and I braked at a roundabout, causing a whole heap
of snow to slide down the windscreen. One wiper (which was mid-wipe) got
blocked by it, strained for a few seconds and then started flapping
    pathetically about.

I pulled over and had a look and realised all I needed was a 13mm socket to
tighten the arm retaining bolt and, as we were only half a mile from my
parent's house, I decided to call by and borrow my dad's socket set.

So, had a coffee, fixed the wiper and went to get back in the car, only to
hear the unmistakable sound of air escaping from a tyre. A quick look
showed a nail neatly in the back driver's side tyre. So I took the wheel
off, put the space-saver on and went to the tyre place to get it fixed.

They've had a look at the tyre and decided that it's not repairable, so
tomorrow I've got to fork out the thick end of 200 notes to have two new
rear tyres fitted, because I don't fancy having one brand new one and one
    part-worn one on.

The moral of this story, if moral there be, is don't piss of the moderators
of Fiat groups. They have strange powers.

I should hope so too ... we wouldn't want the riff-raff getting in on the

Surely most Fiats would just implode if you even walked close to them.

You know what the great thing is?

It's that I can say **** of, you **** and, what you'll read is "**** off,
you ****" and not "[censored] off, you [censored]", which wouldn't have the
    same impact.

Speaking of you being a ****, Lisa's placement finishes next week, so I
might be down soon to remind myself what a **** you are.
