  1. I'd love to, sadly at the moment I've not got the mobility.

You've never seen me in my white leisure disco suit... John Travolta
learnt a lot from me back in the eighties...

  4. Bloody right - Still, you're only about 3 months behind me. Book a
    wheelchair now old bean.

I think my best option at the moment is to smack my stomach back out of
my scrotum with a cricket bat. Can't hurt much more than it does at
    the moment.

    Ouch.

With any luck you'll get a quick session of keyhole to sort that...
    eventually.

  8. Can they fit a mesh repair through a keyhole? I've heard plenty of
horror stories about a simple stitch repair ripping apart, but the
meshes are supposed to be pretty good.

My hernia op a couple of years ago left a 4 inch scar and a haematoma
that took months to completely disappear. The actual mash repair
itself has been a complete success and I've been able to do heavy work
    again.

    Good luck Simes.

I think keyhole is limited to a quick laser special.

My dads had both - agreed the mesh method tends to be far more sturdy,
but... keyhole is far quicker in terms of recovery... although to be fair,
he's not had to have anything for a few years, so maybe keyhole style
treatment has got better in the interim.

Which if it has, is nice... if it doesn't let go again, and you end up back
    under the knife (or laser).

  10. You must remember - a couple of decades ago - just a few years later
    than your suit.

  11. I'm not listening to any horror stories. TBH I'm chuffed to bits that
it's a hernia - I found this painful lump and imagined it was far worse.

Sure I remember the eighties (my most hated decade). And at least my
suit was back in fashion for a while - your Bogart-style is never
    coming back, you know.

  13. Heh, it's never coming back because it's never gone out of style.
    Here's looking at you.
