Well I didn't expect *that*...

....my bike passing its MoT this morning, that is.

Took it to the same guy I took the Triumph to last time with /its/ loud
    can and little(ish) 'plate.

This time I fully expected it to fail; the 'plate is considerably smaller
and the can several orders of magnitude louder than that of the Speed
    Triple.

But no, it passed. He's a top bloke and no mistake; both times now he's
issued a ticket with an "advisory" attached, but both times has proclaimed
that "That sounds /lovely/! It wouldn't have failed anyway 'cause it's
not a safety issue, neither's the 'plate."
    :-D

So, we're all taxed, tested, insured and back on the road.

    Huzzah!

Whether it's a 'safety issue' or not is irrelevant as, IIRC, bike number
plates are not a testable item.

However, Construction and Use is another matter....
