Hit the floor with a vengeance, this morning.. Time to get all
those Arkansas bugs off the Green Vulcan and air the old
thing out a little bit.. Talked to a couple of the pards and they
tell me it's already raining to the West of us and heading my
way.. WTF is that all about ? These weather folks were talk-
ing about some pretty nice weather this weekend and now all
of a sudden, we've got rainstorms in the forecast..

hmmm.. Should have been suspicious in the first place.. No
one seems to be capable of predicting what it's going to be
doing from one day to the next.. This time of year, in Texas..
the weather is almost impossible to forecast, don't it ?

I thought about taking the Green One out for a bit and riding
in some rain.. that's maybe loosen up some of those bugs..
but, it occurred to me that the old Vulcan is tougher than me
and endurance isn't one of my strong points, these days..

Besides, the Mexican has got one hundred and one honey-
do's lined up.. Unless I can make up some kind of lame ex-
cuse .. looks like I'll be sorta locked in at LaCasa, at least
for today.. Whoops.. the five day forecast just came on and
now they are predicting rain for the next week, including to-
    morrow..

Ah well.. guess I needed to kinda rest up after the Mena trip..

I understand about the ''honeyDos'' of all people, I certainly am aware
    of the importance, heh-heh-

We're probably gonna ride down to Jefferson, to see the ''CivilWar
    Re-Enactment'' deal today and tomorrow.
Suppose to be a real large event, maybe hundeds of both Yankees and
    Rebels.

You ever been to anything like that, Bill?

I love stuff like that, I am a CivilWar Nut.

Oh yeah, I know where you grew up. I didnt know if you'd ever been to a
    Civil War Re-enactment?

The largest Re-enactment ever, was in Gettysburg, about 10 years ago,
when Disney filmed the Movie named ''Gettysburg'', for the USA Network.

About 10,000 ReEnactors showed up. They were invited by the D.Company.

What was so great was, them having their own uniforms, and artillery, of
course. Something like 1000 Canons (Maybe more, I'm guessing)

There were probably 5 or 6,000 Federals, and Confederates, represented.

Dontcha know that would have been a site to see.

The wife and I follow all those types of deals around the 200 mile
    radius, here.

Them Honey-Do's will mess up ones riding time. What you do is look at
the list of Honey-Do's ....pick one out that needs something from the
store..tell her you are going to do that one first but it requires
some parts..be right back...show back up at dark. Easy deal.

Hmmmm.. Arizona run is coming up soon.. Have you signed on, yet ?
Surely, there is going to be another little run down into Mexico.. All set
    for that one ?

Whew.. let's get real, now.. <chuckle> That old barn sour syndrome
is kicking in, ain't it ? Well anyway.. that was a damned good ride to
Mena, Ark.. You did pretty well until that big old Venture got aimed in
a westerly and southern direction.. lol.. Sure glad I managed to not be
in front of you when that happenned.. That sucker just naturally took a
runaway every time it got headed in that direction.. hohohoho.. Later

<grin> Big Eds' the one that came up with all that "Kitchen Pass"
stuff.. If he didn't keep buying all that cheap shit, he could make
his CB radio work.. Besides all that.. he ain't even got one of those
GPS dealies to give him directions about how to go somewhere..

Dang.. Sure glad this old Green Vulcan don't need all that shit.. Hell,
    I couldn't afford it.. LMAO..

He has a state of the art / helmet-less headset system now. Hes
upscale. Hes highrollin. Its not your ole adverage helmet-less headset
either. Its a custom made job. You wont find one like it in any store
or shop. Only two like it in the world. He traded in the cheap ass
Nady system. He dont need a GPS..all he does is tell his motorcycle
HOME and it knows where to go.

Since you guys are content with poking fun at Ed, might I just point
out that on that Mena ride he managed to have more people looking at
his motorcycle than anyone else in the group.

Now granted, it was only because Louie would say some shit over the CB
and have it broadcast as a PA system, but people were looking at Ed's
    motorcycle.

Now, you might wonder what the advantage would be to all that, and
    it's simple....Ed hasn't spent but maybe $20 on chrome!

. Why should the older fellas have/need those GPS
thane-ma-dodgers, Tire repair kits, battery chargers, extra fuel, and
all that, when riding along with the youngish, who have all that stored
    on those big ol'Barges.

Bill, you dont need that extra stuff.
Save your money for the basics.

Actually folks were admiring what all, and how much Ed was able to put
in his big old Blue Trunk. What a packer, he was.

bjay here: appeared simple when Big Ed was demostrating it.
They stood around and took snap shots, and bragged.
