Ah, as ever, the non-reply from the IAM.

I don't (NOW) think that my riding was as bad as I thought in the
first place. It couldn't have been. It just FELT like it! I couldn't
keep up, couldn't go round corners like some of you and felt very
inadequate. A few people on here just added to those feelings by
having a go at me and questioning my motives for riding. I think that
now I just set myself too high a standard in the first
place....wanting to ride like you guys (who have ridden for years) and
lacking the experience, competence and confidence to do it as I
    wanted.
I have to say, that MOST people on here have been VERY supportive in
helping me achieve my goal...and thanks to them, I've now done it! I
AM a much more confident rider due to the training I've had, which has
    improved my confidence no end!
FWIW, the test was quite hard so no, it's not worth batshit! I've now
got a hefty insurance discount AND I'm a a better rider than I was!

The one thing I don't want to happen is for her to charge around
    Lincs
I had more chance sticking him under a bus before I had some training.
At least now, I'll hopefully see the bus before it sees me! ;o)

I can see what you're trying to get at here. I applauded Donna for
getting off her arse and doing something about it. I wasn't praising the
    IAM or their methods.
More I suspect, though I doubt I'd be amongst them.
Maybe this is what should have been posted in the first place.

I've made my point, you've very politely made yours. I think it's best I
    bow out at this point.

Again, a reading between the lines thing.

There are some very clever wordsmiths on ukrm, sometimes I wish they'd
just come right out and say exactly what they mean.

Using the patented Mavis Bacon "Hunt&Peck" Technique, Des Coughlan
Not really. It's not terribly comprehensible.

However, if you mean that people should killfile you so they don't have
to read your posts then surely that means that killfiles are *not*
    useless?

Add on the fact that Des has this fsking annoying habit of changing
email addies, etc, that the killfiles need to be updated every so
    often.

So nfilter sorts that out. :)

If I killfiled you it would be for what you write. You say you did the
same to that tony bloke because he "was reposting the same tripe".

All your posts[1] have a common theme, no matter what the subject is.
They all contain references to how you're not being accepted, there's a
clique and you're not allowed in. It's the same thing, over and over
and over. I thought lesley was fine to direct you as she did, because
in a thread that was discussing someone's efforts to improve you're
dragging in your old dead horse to beat it loudly with a stick.

I met you once, breifly, at BigJ's fest a few years ago. I can't
remember much other than I had you filed as "alright". I'd meet you
again if the chance arose as I'm sure you can hold an argument over a
    pint or two.

But by christ, your wailing about "the clique" is worse than "I know a
song that'll get on your nerves", and it's about as mature. We all know
how you feel about it. Whatever it is that annoys you to your core
obviously hasn't changed in years, so why not either accept it or leave?

[1] or at least the vast majority

So you've got a better vocabulary...
How else would you prove it one way or the other?

I'm not talking about the number of times you say a word. I'm talking
about how nearly every argument seems to be in some way connected to
    that theme.

I've tried to finish this post to give an amicable light to it, but as
with every exchange you've dragged in how you're treated specially (i.e.
your last sentence, that is what I'm talking about). You distance
yourself from everyone else by the way you argue any point.

I just can't be bothered to spend any more time and effort concerning
    myself with this.
